Shockwave therapy treats a specific tissue-level problem. Without an accurate evaluation, there's no responsible way to know whether it's an appropriate option for your pain — that's why the exam always comes first, and why treatment is only provided "when clinically appropriate."
What the First Treatment Feels Like

How Long the Visit Generally Takes
The complete new patient visit takes approximately 30 minutes. Treatment itself takes approximately 15 minutes.
What to Wear / Bring
Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being evaluated. Bring a photo ID, your current medication list, and any relevant imaging you have available.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
This is a cash-pay service; insurance is not billed. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Payment is due at check-in. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when canceling. A cancellation fee may apply.

What If Shockwave Isn't Appropriate?
Your provider will explain their reasoning and discuss what they'd recommend instead. Not every visitor automatically receives treatment — that's a deliberate clinical safeguard, not a limitation of the offer.
What Happens After the Visit
Depending on your condition, your provider may recommend additional sessions, complementary exercise guidance, or other next steps — discussed individually, not from a generic script.
